A Christmas Prayer for St. Raymond of Penafort

Loving and gracious God,

On this holy night and in these holy days, we give You thanks for the gift of Your Son, born not in a palace, but in a humble place, wrapped not in riches, but in love.

Bless our St. Raymond community, O God —our elders and our children, our families near and far, those who rejoice and those who grieve, those with full hearts and those who come seeking hope. May we recognize Christ among us, especially in the poor, the stranger, the lonely, and the forgotten.

As the angels sang “Glory to God,” teach us to live that glory —with justice in our actions, with mercy in our words, and with love that reaches beyond our comfort zones. Make us bearers of Good News, so that the joy of Christmas may live on in how we serve, forgive, and care for one another.

We ask this through Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, God-with-us, who lives and reigns forever and ever.
