CHILDREN & YOUTH

ST. RAYMOND INDEPENDENCE MISSION SCHOOL

St. Raymond School has served generations of young people in our neighborhood since 1949. The school is now part of a family of Catholic schools in Philadelphia operated by Independence Mission Schools, a non-profit organization.  Our parish continues to work closely with the staff of St. Raymond School, and we welcome all of the school families to worship with us. Learn more about St. Raymond Independence Mission School.

PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN

St. Raymond Church has served school-age children for decades through summer camp and vacation bible camp opportunities. As we face our current challenges, we remain flexible and responsive to the needs of families in our community and offer opportunities for summer days at St. Raymond, childcare cooperatives, and more.

For more information about upcoming programs for youth ages 5-10 please contact Toni Reaves,  Pastoral Associate.

YOUTH GROUP

We offer year-round opportunities for fellowship, community, formation, and service for youth in middle school (grades 6-8)  and high school (grades 9-12). During the seasons of Lent and Advent, we offer small groups to invite our young people into a deeper experience of prayer and scripture study. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have worshiped together on Sundays via YouTube and have a weekly Zoom meet-up for high school students to pray, laugh, and encourage each other.

Young people at St. Raymond are integrated into every aspect of parish life. We welcome the contribution of our young people as liturgical ministers, assistant catechists, and more! We love the Lord and we love to have fun! We are committed to walking with our young people as they journey with the Lord. For more information on ways to get connected, please contact Toni Reaves, Pastoral Associate.
